Randox Health Wrapped 2025: What Your Health Data Told Us This Year.

2025 has been a big year for health — and your data has plenty to say about how we’re looking after ourselves.

From low iron levels to Vitamin D deficiency (thanks, British weather), our Randox Health data gives a unique snapshot of the nation’s wellbeing. Whether you were checking your hormones, monitoring heart health, or just getting to know your body better, here’s what the results revealed this year.

Ironically Unwell

Thousands of you discovered low iron levels this year — and the results are telling. Nearly 1 in 10 women who tested with Randox Health were found to be anaemic, with levels below the healthy range.

Iron is essential for transporting oxygen around the body, keeping energy levels steady, and supporting brain and immune function. When it’s low, symptoms can include fatigue, dizziness, shortness of breath, and pale skin — issues that are often mistaken for everyday tiredness.

Women are particularly at risk due to menstruation, pregnancy, and dietary factors. If you’ve been feeling run down or struggling with energy, a simple blood test can reveal if iron deficiency could be the culprit — and help you take action to restore your balance.

Testoster-own Your Health

Hormone health has been a major talking point in 2025, and the numbers back it up. Almost 9% of male clients showed low testosterone levels.

Testosterone is crucial for men’s overall health — it regulates muscle strength, mood and energy levels. Low levels can lead to fatigue, reduced motivation, decreased libido, and difficulty building or maintaining muscle mass.

Modern stress, poor sleep, and certain lifestyle factors can all contribute to low testosterone. The good news? With testing, you can track your levels and work with healthcare professionals to optimise your wellbeing — so you can feel your best at every stage of life.

It’s Not You, It’s Your Thyroid

We carried out hundreds of thousands of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) tests this year, and once again, female clients were more likely to show an abnormal result.

Your thyroid plays a huge role in regulating metabolism, energy, and mood. When it’s underactive (hypothyroidism) or overactive (hyperthyroidism), it can cause symptoms like weight changes, fatigue, anxiety, and brain fog.

Many thyroid conditions go undiagnosed because the symptoms develop gradually — but early detection makes management easier. Regular testing ensures your thyroid stays in tune with the rest of your health.

D-prived and It Shows

If your Vitamin D levels were low this year, you’re not alone. Nearly 20% of our total Vitamin D tests in 2025 showed a deficiency.

Vitamin D supports everything from immune function and bone strength to mental wellbeing, but with limited sunlight across the UK and Ireland, many of us just aren’t getting enough.

Supplements, dietary sources like oily fish, and even short bursts of sunlight exposure can make a real difference to your health and mood — especially during the winter months.

Cholest-er-no

Cardiovascular health remained a major focus this year, and the data proves why. Of all the LDL (“bad”) cholesterol tests carried out in 2025, a staggering 64% were classified as high.

High LDL cholesterol can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke, especially when combined with other factors like high blood pressure or smoking.
But here’s the silver lining: cholesterol can be managed through dietary changes, regular exercise, and early monitoring.

Regular blood tests allow you to keep track of improvements and understand your individual risk — so you can take proactive steps toward better heart health.

Catch Feelings, Not Infections

Love might be in the air, but so are health reminders. Around 2% of all Chlamydia samples tested this year returned positive results.

Chlamydia is one of the most common STIs in the UK, but it’s also highly treatable — especially when caught early. Many people don’t experience symptoms, so routine screening is the best way to protect yourself and your partner.
