As a beacon of excellence and a pioneer in British gymnastics, Max Whitlock OBE stands unrivaled as the greatest gymnast in Team GB’s history. With an impressive haul of Olympic, World, & European medals, Max has consistently demonstrated his extraordinary talent and dedication to his craft.

His achievements include being a three-time Olympic champion with two of his wins in Rio 2016 before coming back to retain his pommel horse title in Tokyo 2020.

Max decided to take a break after Tokyo and has been open on his struggles with mental health once gymnastics was removed from his life and how important self-improvement and new goals were to his recovery. However, he is back seeking glory in what will be his fourth & final Olympic Games in Paris 2024. Max Whitlock continues to inspire the next generation of gymnasts with his unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of the sport, one of many reasons we’re proud to have helped him discover his own boundaries and the marginal gains he can utilise to put on another show-stopping performance using our Everyman health check.

"The more feedback I get, the more tools to improve my journey."

After Tokyo, I fell into a rutt where I was felt I was struggling for a period of time and it was a huge learning curve for me because I truly understood the balance between mental and physical health so my wife had booked me in for a blood test back then to try and find answers and for me it was the first step for me leaving that rutt. For me now getting back into competition, I’m even more open to gaining insights and data onto what can help my health in the long term so I think the Everyman for me was really powerful.

Before coming in for my Everyman, I wanted to get a full picture of where I was at thinking it’d be a starting block and for sure I was wanting to have a bit of competition with my wife as she showed her metabolic age being 16 but as an overall package, I was excited to put the data we got from that test into action and see the small 1% improvements to make but also what the results would show in my second test after 6 months.

Getting health checks and finding out more data about your body is massively influential when it comes to preparing for any competition, especially for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The more feedback I get, the more tools to improve my journey by making sure every training session is as good as it can possibly be so I can get the gains day in, day out.

My Everyman test at Randox was a really good one for me because it almost set a benchmark on where I’m at now so I done the test at the very beginning of my build-up and my preperation as we move into Paris. I’m interested in my repeat test in 6 months time to see what the build up has done and how I can kind of learn from that process, what health benefits I have from the different training intensities so I think that’s what’s really important to me.
